On my last visit to Nashville I went to a writer's round at The Listening Room with the intent to see a Grammy award winning songwriter I was trying hard to book at The Opry. Instead I discovered Tim Baker in that round. Tim played alongside that Grammy award winning songwriter and a recognizable up-and-coming artist. He blew them both away. Not that they were in a competition, just that Tim's playing talent was on another level. He is a songwriter and guitar player like no other and I knew I had to get him up to The Opry asap! I'm pleased to announce that Tim will be joining us for a two night stand May 2nd & 3rd. A little more about Tim below…

Hailing from Hazard, Kentucky, Timothy Baker was steeped in bluegrass and gospel from a young age, mastering guitar, mandolin, banjo, and Dobro by age 12. His journey into country music soon followed, with heartfelt vocals and original songs that captivated audiences on YouTube, earning him over 43,000 followers and 9 million views. A ten-time champion of Bob Kingsley’s online cover contest, Timothy relocated to Nashville in 2018 and quickly secured a publishing deal. As a founding member of the acclaimed trio Old Hickory, he’s shared the stage with artists like Kameron Marlowe, Dylan Marlowe, and Zach Top. A mainstay in Nashville’s vibrant music scene, Timothy continues to craft a distinctive brand of country music, deeply influenced by his bluegrass roots.
