It is an honor to welcome back the esteemed Timothy Baker in a trio for a weekend of deep LIVE country-bluegrass music!! Timothy is one of the most talented artists we've welcomed to The Opry, or the "Lil Ole Opry" as he branded it. It's an interesting story of how I met Tim...Last year in Nashville I went to a writer's round at The Listening Room with the intent to see a multi-Grammy-award-winning songwriter I was trying to book at The Opry. Instead, I discovered Tim in that round. Tim played alongside that Grammy winning songwriter and a recognizable up-and-coming artist. He blew them both away. Not that they were in competition, just that Tim's playing was on another level. He is a songwriter and guitar player like no other. It was a true privilege to witness his talent from just feet away when he played our room in May. I knew I had to get him back up here and this time Tim is bringing his friends Anthony Gilvin and Patrick Rossi to form The Timothy Baker Trio, for our shows only, in a two night stand Friday December 12th and Saturday December 13th. A little more about Tim and links to tickets are below...these will go fast...

Timothy Baker, a Hazard, Kentucky native who grew up steeped in bluegrass and gospel, mastering guitar, mandolin, banjo, and Dobro by age 12 before turning to singing and writing his own country songs. After amassing thousands of YouTube followers and 9M+ views, and winning Bob Kingsley’s online cover contest ten times, Timothy moved to Nashville in 2018, quickly signed his first publishing deal, and co-founded the trio Old Hickory in 2023, opening for artists like Kameron Marlowe, Dylan Marlowe, and Zach Top. Now backed by longtime bassist Anthony Gilvin (Harrodsburg, KY, mentored by JD Crowe’s Bobby Slone) and known Nashville drummer Patrick Rossi, Timothy continues to perform regularly all over Nashville, including the Bluebird Cafe, while promoting his latest singles “Growing Up” and “Shoot for the Moon, Kid,” with more new music slated for 2026.
