Dan Schovain, Founder

Dan is a serial entrepreneur from La Grange Park, IL, who, after building a career in enterprise data strategy, analytics, and technology consulting, left the corporate world in 2018 to start Daydream Coffee Company in Western Springs, IL, a mission-driven craft roastery specializing in affordable high quality beans and premium single-origin cultivars, with a philanthropic focus on supporting families with children in medical need. Daydream supports families directly and through charities like St. Jude Children’s Hospital. He also co-owns the multi-unit School of Rock DuPage franchise with his wife, fostering music education and community engagement.

In January 2024, Dan went further into his love for music when he opened Opry Provisions, also in Western Springs, which incorporates coffee roasting, boutique cocktails, wine & spirits into a laid back country-driven listening room. Unlike any other music venue in the United States, Opry Provisions quickly became a favorite venue for traveling, working musicians to play. The venue has featured numerous Billboard charting artists, American Idol contestants, and other esteemed players, such as Matt Heckler, Tim Goodin, Liam St. John, Timothy Baker, Walker County, and Cole Ritter. Inspired by Nashville's original opry houses, it has come to be known as “The Lil’ Ole Opry.” Since its founding, The Lil’ Ole Opry has offered locals and travelers alike an unparalleled venue experience that embodies Dan’s commitment to innovation, affordability, and heartfelt impact on the arts and philanthropy.

When it doesn’t have live music, the listening room serves as a cocktail bar, retail bottle shop, and coffee roastery. Concerts are only announced by email, so please sign up below to stay informed of who’s coming through town next. Please check Google for the most up-to-date hours.
